    Vascular Surgery Fellowship Overview


    The general vascular surgery residency is a one-year program for residents who have successfully completed a general surgery residency. The resident will have twelve months of rotations in vascular operating room procedures, vascular laboratory, with increasing responsibilities as to the interpretation of essential non-invasive vascular tests and exams.  The resident will also be exposed to angiography and interventional techniques. The resident will also participate in the office practice of our vascular faculty. They will be exposed to daily patient care, including pre-operative diagnosis, post-operative management, non-surgical disorders and office management.


    The resident will serve a minimum of twelve (12) months, devoted full-time to our vascular service. The rotation outline will be structured by the director and faculty and reviewed with the resident prior to initiation of the program.


    The goal of our program is to provide the necessary training for the specialization in general vascular surgery including the integraton of Osteopathic Principles and Practice.
