Plus One NMM Residency Didactics

Our NMM faculty and residents are involved in teaching the students, interns, and other residents for many different types of NMM labs throughout the year.  You will have regular exposure to teaching and feedback on your efforts.

NMM didactics include faculty lectures, anatomy review, journal club, hospital grand rounds, small group labs, noon conferences/labs, board review, and a frequent use of multimedia materials.  Our affiliation with OUHCOM and the CORE OPP committee provides many didactic resources, including NMM CME courses and a two year rotating NMM curriculum.

South Pointe Hospital has a dedicated research staff member and many resources to help you complete your research project.  We have support for qualifying studies from the Brentwood foundation and OUCOM, as well as many Cleveland Clinic resources.

We try to host a national level NMM CME course every 8-18 months.  The AAO is sponsoring Dr. Sandler presenting Dr. Greenman's method: Exercise Prescription course at Southpointe this coming June 8-10.  Also, our faculty OMM study group welcomes the participation of our NMM resident and other local physicians. We meet monthly.

Our program pre-supposes a pro-active physician trainee who takes responsibility for keeping track of their own progress toward their goals. We welcome collaboration from the residents, since this is a young program. Many of the innovative solutions we employ were suggested by our trainees.
