Dr. Bringhurst completed her residency in family practice prior to coming to South Pointe. Currently serving in her second term as chair of the Resident American Academy of Osteopathy, she is passionate about graduate and undergraduate medical education. Additionally, she does nonprofit work regarding gender bias and gender equity in healthcare. She is currently pursuing a long-held goal by becoming a certified yoga instructor. An amateur video gamer, she is involved in the ESports Medicine Institute. She is professionally interested in social determinants of health, osteopathic manipulative medicine research, medical education, the use of social media by healthcare professionals, gender equity, and osteopathic treatment of headache.
Zhan Tao Yang, D.O., PGY 3

Residency: Family Medicine/NMM at South Pointe Hospital
Dr. Yang is a current PGY-3 in the family medicine-osteopathic neuromusculoskeletal medicine combined residency program. She studied under Paul Rennie, Robert Kessler, Elias Ptak, and Wesley Lockhart during her medical school years. Having moved from the desert to Cleveland, she enjoys experiencing all four seasons here, as well as the food and culture that the city provides. She is the resident craft queen, which means you can often find her working on a beautiful knitting project during her downtime. Balanced ligamentous tension is her favorite treatment style to use in treating patients. Her clinical interests include health promotion for all populations, Traditional Chinese Medicine, nutrition, and non-pharmacologic management of chronic pain.
