Family Medicine / Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine Residency Overview

    Residency Overview and Description:

Please be aware that we are currently recruiting for an NMM Plus One Position. Our Family Medicine/Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine Residency is not accepting applicants at this time.

The Family Medicine/Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine Residency program's main goal is to prepare young physicians to be well rounded, competent primary care physicians with additional training so they may also become proficient in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulation.

We provide a comprehensive training in both in-patient and out-patient settings.

Our residents participate in both Family Medicine and NMM Continuity Care clinics simultaneously throughout the four-year program.

The residents and faculty meet weekly for one-half day of extensive didactic programs and procedural skills labs.

As the resident progresses through this program, their responsibility for patient care will increase while practice managment and coding is incorporated into the clinical and didactic areas to prepare them for their own private practice.

One very important aspect of our program is the resident will not only become a competent primary care physician, but also a teacher. Our residents will work with the faculty in teaching the younger trainees. They will participate in two monthly OMM skills labs, where not only will they be table trainers, but will also develop and present lectures.
