Michael Bourgeois, D.O., PGY 4

Medical School: Edward Via College of Medicine - Virginia

Residency: Cape Fear Valley Medical Center - Internal Medicine Residency

Clinical Interests: Integration of OMM into primary care, OMM in the inpatient setting, academic internal medicine.

Hobbies and Interests: Chess, Gracie Jiu Jitsu, reading books

Research Interests: OMM for systemic disease (e.g. heart failure, diabetes, post-COVID syndrome) and postsurgical OMM

A little known fact about me: I served with the Virginia state defense force, a volunteer auxiliary to the National Guard.

  

Shelly Tat, D.O., PGY 4

Medical School: A.T. Still University of Health Sciences School of Medicine

Residency: St. Elizabeth Family Medicine Residency

Clinical Interests: I would love to learn more cranial, HVLA, direct techniques and hospital OMT. Also OMT for neonates & pediatrics, OB. 

Hobbies and Interests: Gardening, cooking, trying restaurants, hiking, biking. Love cats and dogs.

Research Interests: Reducing hospital LOS in undiagnosed abdominal pain with OMT.

A little known fact about me: I would love to be a judge at a cooking show.
