Curricululm

Internal Medicine Three Year Curriculum:

 

All rotations last one month. 

PGY 1:

  • Internal Medicine/Hospital Wards - 4 months total
  • ICU - 1 month
  • Emergency Medicine - 1 month
  • Geriatrics - 1 month
  • Electives - 5 months including pulmonology, gastroenterology, cardiology, neurology, nephrology, general surgery, hematology/ oncology, infectious disease, and OMM

The PGY 1 will spend a minimum of 36 half-days per week per year in the ambulatory IM clinic for continuity of care.

 

PGY  2:

  • General Internal Medicine - 4 months
  • ICU - 2 months
  • Four of the following subspecialty rotations: Gastroenterology, Neurology, Nephrology, Hematology/ Oncology, Infectious Disease, Endocrine, Pulmonology, Cardiology, and OMM 
  • Electives - 2 months (May be at another CCF facility such as main campus)

The PGY 2 will spend a minimum of 36 half-days per week per year in the ambulatory IM clinic with their established panel patients.

 

PGY 3:

  • General Internal Medicine - 4 months
  • ICU - 2 months
  • 4 of the following subspecialty rotations:
    • Gastroenterology
    • Neurology
    • Nephrology
    • Infectious Diease
    • Rheumatology (at CCF main campus)
    • Endocrine
    • Hematology/Oncology
    • Pulmonology
    • Cardiolgy
    • OMM
  • Electives - 2 months (2 of which may be at another CCF facility such as main campus)

The PGY 3 will spend a minimum of 36 half-days per week per year in the ambulatory IM clinic with their established panel patients.
